UCSC Arboretum

The Arboretum is home to a world-class living collection of native flora from California, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Chile. Undergraduates can assist with a wide range of horticultural tasks, conservation projects, or educational programs. There are also opportunities to work with professors who use the Arboretum as a field site.

Program Goal(s):

  • To teach students about plant biodiversity and conservation
  • To help students become more aware of nature and how it works and learn skills, techniques and methodologies for stewardship, land and botanical resource management
